We’re a family-focussed sailing club open to any Ranelagh Club member who likes the idea of enjoying the wonderful Port Phillip Bay on a wind or human powered vehicle.

Whether you’ve sailed all your life or have never stepped foot in a yacht, you’re welcome to join us at the Ranelagh Yacht Squadron (RYS) for a variety sailing courses and activities. Plus we encourage any kayakers, windsurfers and kite-surfers to come down as well. The more, the merrier!

Our season launch and Discover Sailing Day was a great success last Sunday.  It was fantastic to see the beach, the beach box and the boats full of people enjoying sailing at Ranelagh. Welcoming so many new sailors to sample the program available at The Ranelagh Club was a real thrill and we hope to see you all again soon.  Thanks to all who attended and to the numerous volunteers who helped the day go well.

Our next sailing will be 9am Sunday 6 November. Meet down at the beach box.  We’ll be in touch the week before with weather updates and more information.  Remember, you don’t need to have a boat or be experienced, we provide everything you need to get out on the water and have fun.  The only request is that you register as sailing members, at no extra cost, here:

Planning is well underway for our 2017 Kidsail program, taking place from 2nd - 5th January 2017.
Details will be out soon via Facebook, this newsletter and the club.  Please get in touch with the office to register your interest.
2016/17 is going to be a great season and we look forward to seeing you on the 6th November.
