Once a month from March to November, Ranelagh Club runs a golf competition for its members at the various golf courses on the Peninsula. Each competition which is run on a stableford format,  is designed to be a friendly get together, where less experienced golfers can try out their skills and learn from the more experienced golfers. Afterwards we return to the club for lunch and prizegiving.

The golf club's president - Neal Gale - has donated floating trophies for the men and the ladies. These are taken home by the winners each month and the overall winner for the year is determined by counting the 5 best scores he or she has posted for the year.
