Ranelagh Club Advantage Card Programme Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Dear Member,
These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the Advantage Card programme. They would apply to the relationship between Ranelagh Club and the members of the Advantage Card programme and are intended to protect both our members and Ranelagh Club. It is your responsibility to read and understand them. They contain very important information about your rights and obligations, as well as limitations and exclusions that may apply to them. These Terms and Conditions are effective as at the date of publication and may be changed/modified by Ranelagh Club at any time.
2. Advantage Card Membership
2.1 Enrolment
2.1.1. All Memberships of the Ranelagh Club automatically are members of the Advantage Card programme and are deemed to accept all Terms and Conditions of the said programme.
2.1.2. Membership of the Advantage Card programme is open only to individuals. It is not open to companies, trusts, partnerships or other entities
2.1.3 Advantage Card membership is not transferable.
2.1.4. All existing members are automatically members of the scheme. For new members the start date of your membership will be the date your Application for Club membership isapproved by the Club Committee.
2.1.5. It is your responsibility to ensure that you take appropriate care of your Advantage Card Card to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your account.
2.2. Advantage Card Cards
2.2.1. A permanent Advantage Card will be issued automatically to existing members and to new members once their Membership Application has been approved.
2.2.2. The Advantage Card Card may only be used by the membership to which it is issued. The Advantage Card is not a credit card nor access card and is used for the purpose of identification only.
2.2.3. The Advantage Card is the property of Ranelagh Club and must be returned whenever requested.
2.2.4. Ranelagh Club and their agents have the right to require you to produce your membership card and quote your Club membership number at any time while making a reservation or while using the Club restaurant facilities.
2.3 Loss or Damage of Advantage Card Card
2.3.1. In the event of loss, theft or unauthorized use of your Advantage Card, it is your responsibility to inform Ranelagh Club as soon as possible. You are liable for all use of your Advantage Card until we are notified of the loss or unauthorized use of your card.
2.3.2. Advantage Card that have been lost or misplaced can be replaced via the Club Office Manager. Such replacement of Advantage Cards will be subject to a fee of $10.
2.4. Cancellation of Advantage Card Membership
2.4.1. You may at any time cancel your membership by providing written notice to Ranelagh Club. Upon receipt of the notice, we will cancel the relevant membership and all accumulated points in your membership account will immediately expire. Accordingly, we would like you to carefully plan all cancellations to avoid any unintentional loss of accumulated points..
2.4.2. Ranelagh Club retains the right to cancel your membership in the event of any breach of the membership Terms & Conditions. Any Reward due to you either before or after the date of breach will be subject to review, and possible cancellation, by us.
2.4.3. After a period of thirty six months of inactivity by you, Ranelagh Club reserves the right to terminate your membership account.
2.4.4. An Advantage Card Account will be automatically terminated on the death of the member. Points accumulated prior to this will be cancelled. However, Ranelagh Club may, at its own discretion, reinstate Advantage Card points in favour of the heirs of the deceased upon application of his/her representative, or in the case of a Family/Couples membership, in favour of the nominee appointed by the remaining Family/Couples membership members.
2.4.5. If Ranelagh Club terminates or cancels your membership, all accumulated Advantage Card points are deemed to have expired and will immediately be removed from your membership account.
3. Personal Data Changes
3.1.1. You must provide Ranelagh Club with a correct mailing address and email address (optional). If you change your mailing address/email address you should notify the Club Office Manager in writing or via email or via telephone.
3.1.2. Change of name and/or date of birth must be supported by legal documentation.
3.1.3. From time to time, the data you have furnished to Ranelagh Club may be used to bring you relevant and valuable offers from Advantage Card Partners. If you have any objection regarding the use of your data, you may request that your data be not used for such purposes.
3.1.4. If more than one account number has been assigned to you in error or oversight, the accounts will be combined and the points transferred to one single account, less any duplicated bonuses or points from the same activity. The other accounts will then be terminated.
3.1.5. This merging of accounts can be requested by you or can be conducted at Ranelagh Club’s discretion.
4. Earning Advantage Card points
4.1.1. You may earn Advantage Card points from Friday 22nd January 2010 for existing members and from the date of approval of the Membership Application for new members, whichever is later. Points are earned for purchases from the Club Restaurant during normal operating hours, for functions, making reservations for non-function lunches and dinners and other products or services supplied by participating Partners as specified in the latest Advantage Card communication as issued from time to time. Ranelagh Club will credit the Advantage Card Account of the member irrespective of the identity of the person or the entity paying for the services. Points will not be accumulated where an Advantage Card is used by a member under the age of 18 Advantage involves alcohol. Members are personally responsible for informing any third party or entity paying for the services including but not limited to the member's ’s employer in respect of the advantages obtained through the Advantage Card programme.
4.1.2. All points and subsequent Rewards must be earned according to the terms and conditions of the Advantage Card programme.
4.1.3. To earn Advantage Card points, you must quote your name and produce your Advantage Card at the time of making a reservation or paying for other qualifying products or services.
4.1.4. Ranelagh Club reserves the right to make Advantage Card points and promotional offers available to selected members based on purchase activity, programme participation or information supplied by the member.
4.1.5. Advantage Card points will be issued only for purchases actually made by you and will not reflect any complimentary offers.
4.1.6. Only qualifying purchases at Ranelagh Club Restaurant or Advantage Card Partnerships qualify for points credit. The following purchase types will not qualify for points - free or non revenue offers and any other purchases that are from time to time declared by Ranelagh Club to be ineligible for points.
4.1.7. Advantage Card points are only credited for services and products actually supplied and paid for. In particular, no points will be earned in connection with products or services which have been ordered but cancelled prior to payment.
4.1.8. When a member redeems Advantage Card points in combination with cash against a purchase, Advantage Card points will accrue only in respect of the paid part of that purchase.
4.1.9. Provided the Advantage Card member has provided the necessary information at the time of purchase points will be credited within 7 days of purchase. Points earned in respect of purchase of a product or service from an Advantage Card Partner will be as specified in the most current edition of the member guide or the most recent Advantage Card communications issued.
4.1.10. All points have no cash value until determined by the Club Committee.
4.1.11. Advantage Card points are valid for a three year period from the date of the activity for which they were earned. Unused Advantage Card points will expiry at the end of the such validity period
4.1.12. Only you as a member may authorize the deduction of points or issue of rewards from your Advantage Card
4.2 Crediting Advantage Card points
4.2.1. While Ranelagh Club and Advantage Card Partners make every attempt to provide accurate purchase history, it is your responsibility to retain and provide the necessary documents, such as receipts in the event that a retroactive credit is claimed.
4.2.2. Advantage Card points are not transferable and cannot be combined with points of any other Advantage Card Account except as part of a Family/Couples membership as explained in Section 3 above. Credit is not given for any activity undertaken before membership is granted unless otherwise specified by Ranelagh Club.
4.3. Points Statements
4.3.1. Points statements will be issued to you periodically at the discretion of Ranelagh Club. You can also view your account information online.
4.3.2. Details of any Ranelagh Club points earned should appear on your account within 7 days of travel, and any partner credits should appear within 60 days of the activity.
4.4. Retroactive points Claim
4.4.1. If you have earned points that do not appear on your statement, you should apply for retroactive credit you should provide evidence of your points entitlement to the Club Office Manager. All claims for retroactive credits must be made within six months of the activity.
4.4.2. Members may claim points for purchasesat Ranelagh Club taken up to 3 months prior to their enrolment date by sending in their proof of purchase.
5. Earning points with Advantage Card Partners
5.1.1. Advantage Card points may be earned only by the Advantage Card whose name appears on the invoice or order for the purchase of products and/or services with an Advantage Card Partner.
5.1.2. Advantage Card points cannot be split between two or more Advantage Cards.As an Advantage Card member you will earn your Advantage Card points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Advantage Card Partner as deemed eligible by the partner.
6. Redeeming Advantage Card points
6.1.1. All Rewards available in the Advantage Card programme are as specified in the most recent Advantage Card communications issued. These are subject to the terms and conditions of each Reward provider, which can be Ranelagh Club or a third party partnership.
6.1.2. All Rewards are subject to availability and the Reward providers’ restrictions.The number of Advantage Card points required for a Reward is subject to change. Advantage Card may withdraw, replace or substitute Rewards at any time without notice.
6.1.3. You may claim Rewards either when you have sufficient points accumulated in your Advantage Card Account or you may contribute cash as part payment for Rewards as communicated by the most recent Advantage Card communications issued.
6.1.4. To the extent permitted by law Ranelagh Club accepts no liability whatsoever in respect of any damage, death, delay, injury or loss arising out of or in connection with the services or Rewards supplied by Ranelagh Club or an Advantage Card Partner, or in connection with a refusal to supply a Reward by Ranelagh Club or an Advantage Card Partner. The Rewards supplied to a Advantage Card will be subject exclusively to the terms and conditions of the party supplying that Reward. Ranelagh Club strongly recommends that you check the terms and conditions of Ranelagh Club as appearing in their constitution available from the Club Office Manager.
7. Auditing
7.1.1. Ranelagh Club reserves the right to audit any and all Advantage Card Accounts in the programme at any time and without notice to the member to ensure compliance with the programme rules and applicable conditions of carriage and/or tariffs.
7.1.2. In the event that an audit reveals discrepancies or violations, the processing of Rewards or statement of account may be delayed until the discrepancies are resolved to the satisfaction of Ranelagh Club.
8. Changes or Termination of the Advantage Card Programme
8.1.1. Ranelagh Club may change the Advantage Card rules in whole or in part, at any time without notice. However we will make all reasonable efforts to give you prior notice of the changes
8.1.2. Ranelagh Club has the right to terminate the Advantage Card programme at any time. We will make all reasonable efforts to give you prior notice of the termination of the Advantage Card programme.
8.1.3. Ranelagh Club reserves the right to interpret and apply the policies and procedures communicated in these Terms and Conditions. All decisions by Ranelagh Club shall be final and conclusive in each case. These Terms and Conditions supersede all previously published Terms and Conditions.
8.1.4. Ranelagh Club in its sole judgment reserves the right to disqualify a member from further participation in the Advantage Card programme, cancel all accumulated Advantage Card points and seek compensation for Rewards used if Ranelagh Club deems the member has engaged in wilful misconduct or has breached any of the Terms and Conditions governing the programme including but not limited to: failure to follow Advantage Card policies and procedures, the sale or barter of Rewards, any misrepresentation of facts relating to the earning or redemption of Rewards or any other improper conduct as determined by Ranelagh Club including but not limited to infraction of the rules of Ranelagh Club or any Advantage Card Partner participant in the programme, any untoward behaviour with reference to any Ranelagh Club employee or refusal to honour Ranelagh Club employees' instructions.
9. Law and Jurisdiction
9.1.1. These Terms and Conditions and the relationship between Ranelagh Club and each member are governed by Victorian law as applied in the State of Victoria. In joining the programme, you are agreeing to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian Courts.
9.1.2. If in any jurisdiction, the programme, the issue of points or the redemption of any reward is unlawful, then to the extent that the laws of that jurisdiction are applicable, the issue or redemption of points or rewards and any related documents are void.
